About

Welcome to the Creative Strategist, an online blog associated with my branding and marketing agency, Piccadilly Arts. Back in the day - 2001 - I was a marketing coordinator with a software company. Fridays were my favorite days and not just because it marked the end of the work week. I loved Fridays because my weekly Click Z Creative Strategist newsletter arrived in my Inbox sometime between 10:00-10:30 AM. The Creative Strategist was a diamond in the rough. At least to me, a creative marketing gal. So Friday mornings I'd leave my desk, walk with a coworker over to Pedals & Perks coffee shop (formerly at the Glenside train station for you Philly natives) and snag my morning latte. I'd trot back to the office, settle into my chair and sure enough, there was my newsletter, chocked full of fun inspiring creative branding and marketing tips. Coincidently, Peter Kaufmann, the original Creative Strategist, left his content producing job as I was laid off (yet again), looking for work, lamenting over the loss of this uplifting content. It would be some years later - 2006 - before I reread his last post - I Have the Perfect Job for You - and after some soul searching, did exactly what he did. I started Piccadilly Arts as a branding and marketing agency and this blog as a tribute of sorts to the many folks that inspire and mentor me daily.

Fast forward to now, 2010, and Piccadilly has a new logo, new brand and a new component to its business strategy. Over the next few months, Piccadilly Arts will develop a roster of family focused performing artists, available and ready to tour - whether to your local theater, school, community center or for lengthier residencies. This falls in line with my mission to foster a sense of community and sustainability.
